I have been an audio enthusiast for the past 70 years and in spite of my advanced in years I can still enjoy my passion for music. Obviously, I can no longer hear any high frequency content, but what I can detect is distortion or rather lack thereof.

So, my audio equipment is still being upgraded. I have moved from a collection of some 4000 Vinyl records and associated equipment to streaming TIDAL IN 44.1/16 bit FLAC files. TIDAL’s number of recordings of Classical/Opera and Jazz from the “Swing” era is really surprising and by using a microRendu plus the Lumin app makes it incredibly easy to select music from my mini iPad.

Currently, my audio system consists of:

A Krell KSL-2 Preamplifier
A Krell KSA-150 Type A Amplifier driving
2 Martin-Logan AEON-i electrostatic loudspeakers (bi-amped)
1 Bob Carver Sunfire Subwoofer
1PS Audio NuWave DSD

These components create a large sound stage with incredible dynamics and a rock solid “Slam” in the bass.

My listening room is configured so only the speakers show - and the rest of the components are hidden behind a couch.

Hi Claus - welcome! That Sunfire sub is awesome! I had two with my Maggie 1.6’s and it was a great combo.
