What's going on group, I am glad to be here, I was introduced to this forum by one of the admins that I met at another forum and who helped me resolve a problem that I had with one of my McIntosh amps, I had and probably still have a DC offset on my AC line that made my amp's transformer buzz and Joe was kind enough to send me one of his Emotiva CMX-2 DC blocker units to try to see if buzz would go away or get quieter and to my surprise it really did work, buzz is still there but you can barely hear it now - Thank You Joe....

Ha! Just helping out a fellow audiophile. Ended up selling a couple of DC blockers,

My Avantgarde Duo XD are so good that I sold my Studio2, 4367, 4312D, L100, 4312SE 70th anniversary and Klipsch palladium bookshelf.

Although the Studios and 4367 will be missed. It just wasn’t practical to hang onto them.
 
I listen to a pair while we were in the Netherlands in October, and they sounded great! Way over what I could afford, but I enjoyed the experience.

It's all good Joe, I like good ol' interaction between fellow audiophiles, and yes to the question @Mr Peabody if I am going to attend the Axpona this year. It would be a nice place to hear some speakers that I am interested in buying to pair with my MC462 and C52. I am in a big dilemma of which brand speakers to go with but that's another topic.
 
I have my ticket and normally several from the forum goes.

I would definitely attend before deciding, there are companies like Sonist Audio who make good sounding speakers but not that well known. Sonist is high efficient and uses a ribbon tweeter. Just an example one of many.

My AG are awesome.Yes, this is a first. Now if I could just control my amp obsession. :)
 
Man, I was thinking $4k you could almost drive any where and save :

) $42k or below opens up a lot of options, those must be something else. I can understand thinning out the collection.

Enjoy, that's what it's all about. This 526 is the most I've ever spent on a component. I remember cringing at $4k amps. Of course, further back in the time machine several hundred was too much. So I consider myself fortunate.

They did fly from Germany :scholar:


They feel like a direct connection to the performers. Like a transporter in my room.

I think there was a price increase shortly after placing my order. Still so worth it.
