Grammy's

Sorry. Original post got deleted. Damn technology!

Just posted about Chicago on the Grammy's. Sounded good. Just didn't play long enough...

Yes, afterwards I did saw that original post on the main page of the latest newest posts (yesterday), about the rock music band Chicago.

The Grammy's; did I miss some' of spiritual interest? ;) ...The radioactive electronica music band Daft Punk perhaps? :exciting:

Did they have anything in progressive Jazz, abstract Blues, New Age/Instrumental, World/International, Classical Opera & Chorales?

Rob Ford and Justin Bieber; any appearances of these two Cdn celebrities?

Did they play any Beatles song? ...Rolling Stones tune?

How was the sound (quality) from the feed, and over the cable satellite?

I thought the sound was quite good.

No performances of any of the genres that you mentioned. And no Justin Bieber (heard he went to South America to party some more after his recent arrest).

Seems like there have been a whole lot of collaboration performances, often between an older established musician and an up and coming artist, in recent years. Sometimes enjoyable, but I usually just want to hear one or the other.

No Beatles or Stones songs that I recall. Ringo did "join" Paul on a song from his new album (he was playing drums, but clearly the drummer from Paul's own band was playing in the shadows and doing most of the work). Ringo played his old song "Photograph" with his all-star band, which included Peter Frampton, Steve Lukather (Toto), Benmont Tech (Heartbreakers).

I'm very curious; you just said above that "the sound was quite good". ...What kind of audio resolution, how many channels, and what exact feed (source provenance), and over what speakers and amp and preamp?

...If it isn't too much asking.

Bob-

I was just watching on a modest little surround system in our great room/den type area. It's a 5.1 setup using a Pioneer Elite receiver feeding B&W FPM speakers and B&W sub. Still, it's enough of a system to discern between good and not so good audio...
