Happy new year all!
I was wondering what amplifier/speaker combinations impressed the most?

One of the best for me was the Sonus Faber Extremas driven by Jadis JA200s.

I have others to list:skeptical:, but though I'd start with this classic pairing..

MBL and MBL
Avantgarde with Viva
Avantgarde with VAC
HEGEL with Harbeth
Fyne with Pass
Naim with almost anything
Magico with Constellation
...too many to mention

Pass Labs/Revel Salon 2
Pass Labs/Magnepan 20.7
ARC REF160M/B&W 800 D3
Vandersteen M7-HPA/ Vandersteen 7 Mk2

Avantgarde + First Watt SIT3/SIT1

Avantgarde + Misho Wooden preamp and amp !!!

Lansche + Soulution
Magico + Soulution

Very impressed by the combination of Rockport Lyra and Doshi Amps (better than Magico Q7 and Constellation to my ears).

My Avantgarde Duos and Cary 2A3 Signature mono SET amps from 17 years ago are still very nice.

Hi Larry,

I always wanted a nice 2A3 amp. I bet it sounds great.

1b)- Wilson XVX with D'Agostino Relentless amps

One of the best I've heard and can remeber

from the past
Mark Levinson 33H
Wilson Audio Watt/Puppy 7

More recent
Octave Jubiliee mono amps
Blumenhofer Gran Gioia

Even More recent
Emmlabs MTRX2
YG Hailey

Very good combinations have been mentioned already.
The MBL-system is glorious.

On a bit lower level, but stiill excellent: Hegel + Vivid.
Have heard quite a lot of Vivids now, driven by Hegel, and it was always a very pleasant marriage.

MBL-MBL
Tidal-Tidal
Martin Logan-Clayton (my current setup!)
Ariel-ARC (wouldn’t have thought a stereo tube amp could make 20Ts sing like that!)
