Yes Mike. This is really good stuff! In fact the bigger brothers of this speaker, the RC 9 and RC 11 are in the absolute top of many lists. This is one of the absolute European top brands from Germany The company used to be called Isophon in the past. The RC7 MKII is using ceramic mid and diamond tweeter units. The RC 11 is even using diamond for the mid range!!
Definitely something you'd want to check with all the beautiful gear in your room..
:D

Gorgeous! My Air Tight/Soulution/Accuphase dealer is now the distributor and he's raving about them. My friend David got a pair of the RC7 mk2's two days ago and he's over the moon. Said they beat his D5's.

I really like the look of these. Bit hard to find the specs?

Dave Clark did a review for PFO a couple of years ago and it was 35k. Unlike the Focal and LV, I would expect they would be a hard sell with the price and polarizing look.

You make a good point. So what would you suggest as a third speaker brand? Wilson, B&W, SF and many others require B&M for the most part. I like Rockport, but they're not expanding. Vandersteen makes some nice stuff. I love Estelon, but it doesn't seem to be reciprocated by others I speak with. I have a soft spot for YG.

I'm completely open to suggestions and we have the smartest members so I know we will get some great ideas!

It depends on what you want the pricing point to be on the third line. LV's normal line caps at about $16 and Focal is pretty much unlimited on either side of your Sopra line. Unless something has changed in the last 18 months there are no Vandersteen dealers in Florida at all. There is one in Atlanta that carries everything and one in Mobile that carries the minimum and mostly 1's and 2's. So you would have the state to yourself if they interest you at all. I'm just not that familiar with which companies have severe stocking requirements. I like Nola, but you have one in downtown Sarasota already.

Thanks Jack. I think the Nola dealer in Sarasota went under. Need to confirm.

Just for clarification, the LV's cap out at $12k ish - depending on finish (VOX excluded).

Don't know about the dealer in Sarasota's status now, but when I contacted Marilyn earlier in the year about a stocking K.O. dealer that was who she referred me to. I think their prices go from $1700 to almost six figures for HP's favorites.

As to the LV's you may be right, but I thought I read somewhere that certain finishes were a bit higher than that. Anyway's they and the Nola's are voiced to my liking as were the older Vandersteen models.

Another option if they have straightened out their distributor issues is ProAc. Have you thought about bringing in the Aperturas' for a listen or talk to Srajen about them. He seems to really like them and their designer has a has a pretty impressive background with Focal, SF and Goldmund.

My Lumin distributor has been after me to bring in the Apertura's.

I heard the ProAc's at one or two of the shows last year. Quite nice.

I really like Nola's too. Very musical.

Still bouncing around ideas. I really appreciate your ideas. Thank you. [emoji173]️

My speaker tastes have always been to the Strad side of neutral. Speakers that were faves in my listening room were from Peter Snell's designs to Vandersteen, Meadowlark, Soliloquy, Reynaud, Nola, Odyssey (SL Legato) and others of that ilk. That is why my 2CE Sigs are still stored here and the more forward Treo's left after nine months. Just based on mep's, HP's and others description the K.O.'s would be right down my alley as would the LV's as they have the same drivers as the Odyssey's. Still waiting on more info on Klaus's latest design which will make it's second appearance at the DC show. The current reviewer faves are just not what I want.
