GAN amp/Mytech

GAN is the type of transistor that has very fast switching and is used mostly in Class D for the speed.
AI/Google is your friend but you left some out.....
How GaN FETs Work in Class D
    • High-Speed Switching: GaN transistors switch significantly faster (often well into the megahertz range) and cleaner than standard silicon transistors. [1, 2]
    • Cleaner Waveforms: The extreme speed allows the amplifier to reconstruct the audio waveform with far less dead-time distortion and cleaner pulse-width modulation (PWM). [1]
    • Less Heat and Size: Because switching losses are minimal, GaN Class D amplifiers run very cool and can eliminate the need for bulky heatsinks or large output components. [1, 2]

Apparently AI is, your, friend. Surprised you need it since you tried to be Mr. Know It All to Randy, splitting hairs actually.

Class D discussions seem to just go in circles. An extra 0 in THD may get the ASR people wood but it means nothing especially to Class D that can sound like crap while providing great specs. Like any other amp it's a total package not just a good module or transistor whichever the application.

Are you able to have any discussion without being a jerk?
