Game Changer !

Well, I really need to find a way to listen to the S5s. I did like the S1s as I heard them in Denver this past weekend.

Mike - the S5 is like the S1 - but only "more" of everything. It's one of only a few speakers I've heard that can reproduce some of the lowest notes on my Andrea Boccelli CD's. Whether you go S1 or S5 will all depend on your room size.

I'd get blue!!!

Maybe for Jazz only :)

Game changer is a phrase I haven't used before. For me, it means something completely different from the norm. I haven't heard other Magico's , so I don't know how they measure up. The S5's sound that way, different from any other speaker I have heard because of their amazing realism.

You're making me want to listen to the S5's. You mention great mids and accuracy -- but what about the soundstage? Were they very open sounding? I've not spent much time with any Magico gear so you've peaked my interest Mark. Also, what kind of music did you listen to for the demo? Classical, Rock, Jazz and what do you think are their forte?

Soundstage responds accordingly and proportionately to how far apart the speakers are (within reason of course) and how far out from the wall they are. When I heard them in Toronto, they were quite far apart and 10+ feet out from the wall and the sound was 3D!
