Game Changer !

LMAO. And coffee and donuts and hockey and beer and audio companies and musicians and Diana Krall and maple syrup...and....and....

and.... and..... David Foster.

I am enjoying reading all the opinions about the Magico S1 / S5 and the Wilson Alexia. What about other speaker choices though? Marten Audio? Evolution Acoustics? Nola?

Don't forget the Biebs. He's Canadian eh?

No, and besides he's more American (International) now than Canadian. ...Like Celine Dion, in Las Vegas and all over that world jazz.

What a little prick (Biebs)! ;)

______________

* Miley Cyrus; she's Canadian too?

I hope not!

Let's put Canada back on track here, Rush, BTO, Ben Heppner,Sum 41, Joni, Mitchell........

"We audiophiles can be a contrary bunch, at times. We sometimes set our sights on buying a less-good flagship instead of a product like the S5, simply because it’s not the top of the range. We want the best, and if that is financially unattainable, the next one down the range is sometimes viewed as a compromise too far. This is deeply flawed thinking..."

My point exactly. Why the S series sounds better than the Q series to my ears!

That quote is one of the most honest things I have read in a long time ! It all goes back to thinking if it's more expensive,it must be better !!

Nice avatar Mark.

This is a quote from the review. "I’d recommend a few hundred watts, good current delivery and something fast sounding; this is perhaps why Magico often ends up being used with DarTZeel, Spectral and VTL."

Uh oh. :woot:

You're halfway there :exciting:

I've owned both Studio 2's and Salon 2's. They are fantastic speakers and taken to a whole new level with tube amps. Is the S5 better? Yes. But they also cost more. Now S5's with tube amps (especially VAC) might be the ultimate.

During my listening sessions Magico with VTL was not up the the performance of Magico with Constellation.
