Fyne Audio F1-12’s

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome. I just ordered a pair of F1-12s, the new version and I am really very excited, I wanted to know from the F1-12 owners how they were and if they were satisfied. Thanks in advance.

I have F-12 and am extremely happy with them. Have not found any flaws. Very easy to drive, very friendly with placements, very musical regardless of the type of music and list goes on. It sounded good with both solid state and tubes: I am all tubes now and they pair perfectly well. I will not go in micro details regarding how good they are in mids, highs and lows, but they just sound organic, balanced and very coherent.

Congrats on the F1-12s you have coming. I wasn't aware of a "new version", any details on what has been changed? Enjoy them in the best of health and welcome to AudioShark!

Thank you for your reply, very promising.
What kind of speakers did you have before? I'm from a couple of Tannoy Canterbury GR. What kind of improvements should I expect?

Thanks!
The new version (12s) has the new driver with FyneFlute surround technology and an improved crossover. This should translate into improvements on the bass, so much so that the specs now starting from 24Hz (was 26Hz).

I had Monitor Audio PL500II before this. Those were great speakers too, but was bit bigger for my room and I thought it needed more room to breathe than I could offer. Compared to MA PL500II, two words that comes to me are: Fynes are more organic and coherent with excellent imaging.

Hi Rachik, how is the low end response of your F1-12?
Did you have to work a lot on positioning in the environment to get what you wanted?

When did the F1-10S and F1-12S models come out?

They have been presented in May, at Munich HiEnd, along with the Vintage series.
My F1-12s should ship end of August, beg. of September.
I think mine it is one of the first that came out of the factory.

The bass on F-12 are extremely good, articulate and dynamic. Fortunately, they are very friendly as to the placement. The bass was very responsive to footers on speakers as well as components. I like mine without footers. Gaias tend to make bass very strong and over powering. Besides, you have options to fine tune the cross overs as to your need. It takes some time (took me a week or so) to find the sweet spot but easily achievable. With my current speaker position, only thing that changes the timber quality are the power Cables and electronics feeding them. Having said that, Fyne speakers are very friendly (of electronics) and very musical without punishing for fault in upstream gears. They have never ever sounded analytical with any gears or cables; that is one thing I love about them. They just seem to do everything right. I love them with tubes (had solid state before, but sold them after listening to tubes).
