Long time lurker first time poster.
I've been an audio junkie since when my parents purchased me a Radioshack AM/FM radio back when I was in 2nd grade. I vividly remember staying in my bedroom all Sunday morning so I could listen to the America's Top 40 countdown with Casey Kasem. My dad always had audio gear in the house, typically an all Kenwood system with a record player. I grew up listening to his Beatles, Paul Anka, Santana records. When I got older, I got in car audio and yes I had a few tricked out Acuras with awesome Infinity gear that could pump out some serious dBs. Fast forward to after college when I started to make some real money I retired my Sony all in one bookshelf systems and started buying high end gear. Being an ex-engineer I enjoy the tinkering and technical side of this hobby as much as I do just listening to music. At this point, I am beginning to fully understand the kind of sound I like and my personal strategy towards building a system.
Anyway, this is a cool forum and I look forward to finding yet another group of audio nuts that will help separate me from my money.
