Formula One

You mean 12 off wins ... :)

Button did sully him as a teammate too , promptly ran off to Mercedes , to an easier target, which Proved not . Bottas current Numbing ambition is another safety zone.

Bottas move over , lewis would like to pass ..!

Now thats the F1 spirit :)

If you think so and BTW Max and Danny not doing one off’s , not to mention completly being schooled at Monaco by Danny ..

Lewis is better than Vettel for sure (faux4) but not as good as the original Faux 7 (Schumacher) who had enuff epic drives to prove some worth ( can you name one epic drive by lewis ) he will never be regarded with the great same as Schumacher too many easy wins and orders for Teammates to move over , In equal cars he wouldnt be able to beat Danny ,Max or Sainz , Crap he struggled to beat Nico a midfielder at any level ..

Nope Lewis is just the new Faux 7 less than the last one, stick him inna RB and show me a win ,

Never happen as good as his car no more than ..! - Martin Brundle

Lewis handed Alsono his ass in '07, a two-time WC and it was Lewis' rookie year! Alonso being #1 at McLaren (best engines, best mechanics, best engineer!) wasn't able to catch Ham: 6 poles vs Alonso's two and 4 wins vs Alonso's two. Schumacher was always number 1 at Ferrari and hardly drove a clean race (Portugal 1997?) and who can forget when he pulled that crappy stunt to steal the WC in '95 away from Hill. Oh, almost forgot, Benetton was cheating in '94. We now know they were using traction control (formally banned) at every start. Except for Piquet at Bennetton, MS never had a WC at Ferrari as a team mate and team orders were strictly followed by the horsey team.

Murray Walker's take:

Lewis Hamilton better than Schumacher, Senna - Murray Walker

Handed Alonso , hahaha :)

You should go deeper Puro, Lewis feed off of Alonso data and help right up until the split and with the might of Ron and Mcclaren still couldnt muster to beat him in the end ..

In case you missed it Alonso was always rated higher than lewis right up until the end, there’s a lot on behind the scenes info available if you are interested .. Start with Lauda interview with lewis and him explaining how fantastic Alonso was and how he needed his data to match him ..

BTW Lewis couldnt carry Senna ‘s Jock straps , i do see him trying them on thou .. :)

Schumacher , well had issues, so no argument there , but he did have epic drives over his reign, Same as Alonso , Go ahead and name one of lewis’s epic drives, granted both he and Schumacher had to force teammates to move over to let them look good at times , Schumacher had Barrichello thou who is even faster than lewis IMO at his peak so Schumi had an excuse, you gotta take points off for asking Bottas and
Nico to move over .. :)

Now tell me how fast Button was beating lewis or Rosberg , Max, Danny, Bottas , crap even Heiki ...! , :)

When you are in the best car in history and spent all your career driving top cars its not only how much you win as expected but who you lose to and how they are rated, is what determines your real worth ..

Brundle said it perfectly when he said Hamilton is as good as his car and not like Schumacher , Senna or Prost who could win races above the level of their car , today only Max and Danny is doing/has done such ..!

Lewis is barely Top 10 greats if at all ....!

A faux Champ same as Vettel before him ...!

U r clueless, subjective, and obviously don't know dick about F1......

Sad news today with Sergio Perez forced out at Racing Point. If it weren’t for his investment a couple years ago the team wouldn’t have survived. Rumor has it that he and Hulk will replace KMag and Grosjean at Haas.

Checo Pérez has been a pretty good racer. Unfortunately, he may never get a chance to drive a top F1 car. I do hope he can stay in F1.

I'm sure Checo was paid very well by Stroll to dissolve his contract. He's a very good driver, keeps quiet and doesn't complain. He deserves to get a top drive but I agree he might never get the chance. Why do I feel Ron Dennis put a label on him that still follows him????

Let me just leave this here for those who understand ...!

Re: Formula 1

Reading the reviews of the Netflix series, I can only conclude that a lot of folks (specially younger American folks) who had never cared about the sport will become followers. Mercedes and Ferrari saw the response to the first season and quickly signed up. I wonder when will the 3rd season air.

Re: Formula 1

I had ZERO interest in F1, then watched the series and I’m hooked.

Well I think Hamilton got screwed with 10 seconds for a ticky tack infringement....

And talk about getting screwed...the Bulls just got the shaft from Honda. I wonder how much suck-up will be taking place to get back in with Renault...At least their motors seem to be coming into their own. I sure hope the Bulls stay in F1.

Second time in a couple of decades that Honda came into F1 and departed when their efforts didn’t bear fruit. Frankly, I was surprised as to the poor performance and unreliability of the Honda engine during their tenure with McLaren. And, now, as their engine has gotten to a point of better reliability and performance, the board decides to pull out.

Honda has had some very competent engineers in the past. However, they came into this F1 era a few years behind the other engine constructors and never recovered. The formula changes again for 2022 and Honda had the opportunity to be in equal grounds with others for this next generation. Their decision puts in to question their believe and capabilities to be a truly competitive and championship level engine provider in this hybrid era. Honda has the financial means; however, it appears they have no desire to be in the top racing formula.

Red Bull and Alpha Tauri now need to find an engine for 2022. Will Renault come to the rescue after the break up a couple of years ago? Mercedes already serving 3 teams and Ferrari as well. Actually, Ferrari would never sell engines to a super competitive team like Red Bull. Actually, given the lackluster performance of the Ferrari engine this year, not clear Red Bull would be interested.

So, the F1 circus continues...

Renault has to supply them if the Bulls want......will Porsche/VW step in? How about Audi/Lambo?

I would not be surprised if Dietrich Mateschitz would start something new.

To me this current political-correct-overrulled-drama-queen circus has lost the old F1 "magic and spirit".

But maybe i'm just getting old. :snicker:

F1 has always been political. No one more political than Bernie.

Renault has already stated that they will provide engines to RB, if approached. Lots can happen between now and the start of the 2022 season.

It’s looking increasingly likely that Kimi is coming back for another season and will be partnered with Mick Schumacher at Alfa Romeo.

Re: Formula 1

That would be one of the best drivers on the circuit paired with a very promising rookie. Maybe Kimi can give Mike a boost helping to develop a better car.
