I have been remodeling a home over the last year and one of the projects was to create a Theater Room the family could enjoy while also serving as a room for me to listen to 2CH music. We were working with constraints as it was a remodel and we did not go over the top with the build. We did build a 12" second row platform to accommodate 10 theater chairs, we used a Seymour screen which has the Wilson Mezzo CST behind it. Wilson Alexia's on Ultra5's serve L/R duty and Watch Surround 2s bring up the rear. I use two JL F212s for subs on Theater source only. The three front speakers are powered by Ayre MX-Rs (upgrading to Twenty status this month). Datasat RS20i is the theater processor and KX-R Twenty is the main preamp (is used in pass through for theater and 2 channel sources (dCS Vivaldi, Linn LP12/Ref2SE, Naim CD555) are plugged directly into KX-R for two channel listening. I use a Savant control system and love it. The projector is Runco. Would have loved to have at least one extra foot of ceiling height but this is the best I could do. Here are some pics

Enatai252 - beautiful system. Runco is one projector that stands out above the rest IMO. Your DCS stack looks incredible as well. Let me ask you, you mention that you upgraded your MX-R's to 20's last month. Can you comment on the difference(s) you hear?

Very nice job. I thought that was pretty ingenious how you mounted the Transparent boxes.

Love the dcs stack.

That's a very creative way of dealing with the cables.

Great system. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks all

Mike and Garth, Sorry if not clear but I am just about to send the amps back for the upgrade...I received the word that I was next up in line for the Twenty MX-R upgrade right before the Holiday. I did not want to be without music over the holiday so my dealer let Ayre know that I would be sending in the three amps in mid January. I will be boxing them up this weekend for shipment next week. The KX-R took about 9 days to turnaround so I hope I am looking at about 10-12 days before I am back up and running. will take some notes this weekend on some specific recordings and compare when the Twenty versions return. Will share here. I also ordered a VX-5 Twenty to replace the current VX-5 powering the surrounds....that should be shipping late Feb. Will keep you posted.

Quick update- I ended up not shipping out til 2/13 to keep system running for Super Bowl party....since I do live in Seattle suburb...we should have given the ball to Lynch

ayre returned amps to me last night so I now have the three "20" versions up and running. Plan to start new thread with thoughts later this week

Just breathtaking...
Lynch and I came from the same alma mater btw
