Finally got my Quadraspire racks set up tonight.

I dont think i have the space due to my plasma.

right now i have the Bardo on Wave Kinetics footers on top of the Quad.

I may have a symposium for sale that fits top of quad really well (in pix) since I am buying HRS custom built for AMG.

HRS Isolation platform works brilliantly with Quadraspire Sunoko racks. Huge fan of both products.

Quadraspire racks are live & snappy for the room, spiked & sitting on QX7 isolation pads. Great solution for timber floors. (Not into carpet for a listening room, just a rug). Their decoupled shelves work reasonably well if not over tightened.

HRS isolation base construction is weighty enough to isolate the table from anything traveling up the rack. Their special rubber that they use in their products is quite an ingenious material. Matched with polished granite & aircraft aluminium base I think the material combinations work well to support the isolation objective.

The HRS M3X isolation base I use for the MT10 was custom made & balanced for this table. I can tap the Quadraspire & there is no transfer. Similarly zero footfall with the HRS in place.

Tapping Quadraspire is a great test. Steve, that's a beautiful setup you have there. Especially like the acrylic cover on the table. Flush and tight!

It's funny- the HRS M3X platform for the Bardo runs about the same as a new Box Furniture rack ($2450). That is one of my issues.

May a I ask where you purchased the acrylic cover? I'm a little behind the times on the turntables. I have the Quadraspire racks all over my shop and love them. They are considered by many to be one of the best you can buy regardless of the price.

Agreed. My bro sold much more expensive racks for the quadraspires.

I bought the MT10 cover from Gingko Audio. Clearaudio make one for the MT10 now too, but I believe it is slightly inferior to the Gingko spec.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm really happy with the product choices and the results.

It is true the M3X is damn expensive. A custom order costs as much as their standard large size, even though the specification for the MT10 is in their system now. Given the price & weight too, I got slugged pretty hard with the import. Still, it was worth it IMO. I would buy another HRS M3X without hesitation if I had another table. Perfect synergy with the MT10 & Quadraspire.

Again beautiful setup. Worthy of cover photo for stereophile.

I would be happy to oblige for Stereophile. :D

The marriage of a McIntosh MT10, Clearaudio GoldFinger Statement, Furutech Flux Silver Arrows, C1000T with Telefunken ECC803S sitting on Quadraspire Sunoko & HRS M3X is a sweet story.

Also agree about Quadraspire Sunoko being a formidable performer at any price point.

Hi DAV,

As I noticed that you didn't receive any responses about the acrylic cover!, I though I'd provide this site, it's where I had two table covers made for my WTL Amedaus and Classic MK V versions a few years ago, and their prices are much much fairer then some I've seen listed on Audiogon, so I hope this helps?:

I ended up getting a lot better analog with this rack simply by putting the spikes on discs, moving my amp to the bottom rack, and re-tightening/leveling. The one thing about this rack is it can get loose over time.

My CD player sounds better on the bottom shelf compared to the top shelf. On top it gets a little dry and less musical. I never would have imagined that could make a difference.

Dpod4,

I am new to this forum and found all your impressive gears sitting on Quad's Bamboo? Or Sunoko Vent?

I also use Sunoko Vent and by design, if you use the brass rings supplied with the shelves (so the two columns go through this ring and connect the other shelves), the entire rack should show some kind of lateral movement since the columns are not rigidly attached to the shelves (but to the brass rings). Is it your also case? Or do you take the brass rings away? I asked since you are using the rack to house very heavy component, including the delicate turntables. Any idea if the lateral movement (well, you won't shake it when you are playing the TT) / this degree of flexibility affect your TT performance - or you think the TT performance are great now?

Welcome to the forum! Middle shelf and top shelf to right is bamboo. Rest is older version sunoko vent. Not sure about brass rings and lateral movement. My room doesn't create much movement.
