Mike, I guess you have the bigger siblings on display, but you might know the answer regarding the 500 series as well. I read in a Stereophile report from CES:

The Swiss manufacturer Soulution introduced the $32,000, 75-lb Soulution 511 stereo amplifier at CES 2017. Rated conservatively at 150Wpc into 8 ohms, it delivers 280Wpc into 4 ohms and 560Wpc into 2 ohms. The 511 can be switched to a bridged configuration for power ratings of 560W, 1120W, and 2000W, respectively. In addition, the amplifier is capable of sustaining a current draw of 60 amperes at 36 volts, for an impulse rating of 6000W mono. Its damping factor is listed as 10,000 at 100kHz. Distortion (0.004%) and signal-to-noise ratio (>107dB) measurements at 1kHz are excellent, due in part to the reducing of interfaces and cables used in its construction.

This might be a silly question, but when running two Solution 511s in bridged mode, how do I connect other electronics to them? Does one run as master and the other one as slave as in a Devialet setup or how should I envision that to work?

I'm running the new 511's (shown). The above paragraph is wrong. Price is $35,000. Second, those specs are for mono mode. You run them in mono mode as that gives you dramatically more power (1120w per channel into 4 as shown). You CAN run them in dual mode and there is a connection scheme diagram for that included in the manual. But go mono and fasten your seatbelt.

Thanks Mike, guess the scribes take a shortcut on prices and specs sometimes.

But my actual question was slightly different: How do I actually connect e.g. a DAC to the system in a dual mono setup?

Ok, dual or mono? Dual is for speakers with high/low (in lieu of using a jumper at the speaker). Mono is used via a preamp (or DAC with preamp) connecting right to right xlr input on right amp and left on left.

Of course, I had a thinking blockage. Somehow I thought of the 511 as a stereo integrated and was hence wondering how to bridge two integrated amps. But as they are power amps, my question is a no-brainer. Sorry [emoji1].

That said, I think Burmester has/ had an integrated in the programme which could be bridged, similar to two power amps. And of course Devialet does it.

My wife and I visited Mike yesterday at his new store. It was a long drive from coast to coast but well worth it. Mike's store is beautiful and the assortment of gear to die for. I got to hear some electronics that I've been wanting to hear for a long time. I could have spent many more hours there!

Mike, thank you for being such a wonderful host!

Thanks Ian. It was great seeing you and your lovely wife again. I enjoyed our visit, the listening and lunch was always good!

So you are now Officially open Mike ... ?

@MadFloyd , what did you get to hear , the Soulution gear ..?

Not yet. I still have one room to finish and then a few other things. I also have to spend some major time measuring the rooms, finding the best seating positions, repositioning the speakers, etc. I just put everything back after putting up the treatments. It's also niggly things. A track of lighting is intermittently working, etc.

Mike, can I put my office desk on the end wall please??? That bottom combo will have to be your go to relax space, I'm guessing. Huge congrats, come a long way from the first journey up those stairs with heavy amps.
