EV Cars

Water is important, clean energy is important, electricity is important (audio), ...we can all discuss, share, relate to, and without political powers.
I not only me am fed-up with politics (I lost a lot because of it), we all lost a lot.
We won't go there it's an ugly war zone.

EV and related clean energies is our concern; everything else is cheap whiskey.

Idaho you have lakes, fishes, ...what else do you have that California wants?
Are they going to build an EV production factory in Idaho, making efficient long-range batteries like in 🇨🇦 Canada (East)?

They may, seems like everyone leaving Cali for Idaho. We’re just a bunch of rednecks here [emoji56]

Maybe I do know a lot are moving to your state, and its nice, but a tad cold for my old bones, but a lot are moving to NC, Maine and NH, and lots of big Corps to TX. CA is now considered a exit state, the first time since 1995. It does seem however that my state is getting to darn overpopulated. 21,538,187 million for a 14.6% growth rate since 2010.. When will it end. :D

Yes, tremendous growth in Cali, I think from those leaving poverty from their own country. Lots of pressure on infrastructure for sure.

My mother was a refugee from Greece during their civil war, after WWII, so don’t blame those who look for a better place to live.

No that's too much logic... We can't have logic these days, we need drama and virtue signaling instead. We need to ban things without thinking it through first. No more ICE period... by a certain date we will ban them because "we" said so, logic and actual proof of theory be damned.

Notice we are not striving towards driving a smaller, more compact and efficient gasoline cars that can easily get 40 plus mpg. No, no, we need a big SUV while nodding in unison that electrification is the future. Tesla wants to give you that big pickup with a bazzilion gigawatt power plant. Tesla wants to give you land rockets with sub 2 second zero to sixty times because that makes sooo much sense in the quest to save the planet. We can do that with our faces pulled back screaming YAAAAHOOOO while punching that pedal down, GO TESLA!!!

I've given up the CDs that are made of petrochemical crap like Bisphenol A, I've given up vinyl that is also made of petrochemicals and chlorine, I've gone green and "stream" instead and I ride motorcycles that can easily get over 40 mpg. Now leave me and my "dinosaur juice" ICE toys alone.... :P

It is an impressive EV but what's with the name? What does PLAID mean besides the definition that I am familiar with? 1 : a rectangular length of tartan worn over the left shoulder as part of the Scottish national costume.

The car's name is a reference to the movie “Spaceballs.” In the space-action parody, stars brightly streak past as the spaceship enters “Ludicrous” speed, the velocity eventually represented by an equally ridiculous pattern: “Plaid.”

Spaceballs... Well, this coming from a guy who wanted to or actually named his son X Æ A-12 Musk... I guess it should be no surprise.

I still want a Tesla, but will wait after December/January to see what’s coming. I just read about a longer range model Y possibly in the works.

The range takes the biggest hit in the winter, but my commuting distance is pretty stable at 80-100 miles per day. Several coworkers have Teslas and they would buy again in a heartbeat despite a few little minor fit and finish issues.

We’ll see. I have time and besides my Subaru, which I actually love and probably will keep, there’s only a few other vehicles that I could see in my garage.
