Yup. The clock made the biggest improvement, but I don’t want to downplay the impact the PS1 had with bass, dynamics and micro detail retrieval.

Hi Mike,
These are exactly what I am about to add to k1X. I am just not sure what comes first.
Cybershaft rare OP21 could be finished forever, but also PS1 price increased can be expected.
But just cannot get both at the same time especially at this moment.
A question regarding PS1. As we will need one extra power cord for PS1 while keep the K1X
Cord for its digital circuitries. Does the PS1 cord needed to be the exact model as the K1X cord
To retain exact voice ok K1X ? I think if we mix two types of cords it will confuse the effect of PS1.
What is your experience on this ?

I'm not sure that is right. I assume the PS1 gets connected to mains power, and it gets connected by DC link to the K1X. Unless I'm mistaken the K1X does not need a mains power cable in this configuration. That is how the Esoteric Grandioso transports get connected to their power supply, they only have 2 x DC power cables.

No no, you misunderstood. This set will require two PC.
One remains at K1X to serve digital and drive. PS1 gets its own cord
To serve DAC and analog.
Two TR inside of K1X still operate.

This beauty also arrived today. I brought it home to break in to compare to K-03XD. I have the PS1 coming and the Cybershaft Clock + PSU.

So far, this is better than the K-03XD right out of the box. Layered, effortless, relaxed, detail. The K-03XD is no slouch, but wow!!! this is another league. Can’t wait to hear it with the PS1 and clock. I want to assess in stages to see what makes what differences.

Hi Mike:
Have you found that when K1+PS1 is connected, the volume turns to maximum(ps:don't play music )
Does the Speaker cause a hum problem? Most serious when rca type is connected(pre amp to k1x).
There are already my two friends with this problem.
The Esoteric stated that there is a bug in the design of the PS1 and needs to be adjusted.

No, I was asked by MBL to sell it to a customer who didn’t want to wait 12 months+. It’s all good. It was a nice sale.

I then tried the Harbeth 40.3XD’s, Kharma DB9-S and now have the Kharma MIDI Exquisite 3.0.

I would definitely go back to MBL in a second though, but thankfully, we have a full system in the store, so I get my “fix” there.

I really miss my AG’s. Can’t wait to get a pair of the new Duo G3 in the store.

I just received my K1X yesterday :D. Found the firmware version is now "v3.10d".IMG_20230517_171202.jpg
 
congrats, enjoy! very nice system all together. alexia2 is just wow, imho the sweetest spot there is.

ever thought about upgrading the m400 to mxv?
honestly a very big difference. from good directly to sota.
