DSD versus PCM - Is DSD really better or is it a 'myth'

Lets see, 23 pages with 222 posts and we still haven't answered the original question, DSD versus PCM - Is DSD really better or is it a 'myth'.

This thread may go on forever.

The Tesla Model S, owing to its low centre of gravity is the sharpest breaking, best handling road car on the market. It is also the fastest - or thereabouts - from 0 - 60mph.The batteries last longer than the Prius as well (based on the Roadster).

Tesla is full electric, unlike the hybrid Prius, which my wife owns…thus range is like 150miles between charges.I heard that 30mins high current charging gives a 80% "fill up".

Tesla is in most ways the better car.

None of this detracts from your main point….mp3 is indeed king.

Tesla is first electric car, available for everyday using, with developed infrastructure.

mp3 get popularity due many songs on old small HDD and transfer thru old slow Internet. Also was(is) good available for everyday practically using.

I was looking for a new car 3 weeks ago and took a very close look the Tesla.....came away with the determination that it is not ready for the world we live in as it is now. Bought a Porsche instead...glad of it. Maybe some day, but not now.

Congrads on your new Porche.

Be sure and establish a good relationship with the service manager.

Brilliant! Congrats. What did you go with? 911? Cayman? Boxster? What year?

Here's a pic of mine. It's a 2015 911 GTS. Haven't seen another one on the road yet. I see 911's, but haven't seen another GTS yet. Darrin (dpod) has a great collection of Porsche's. There's a thread with pics of them around here if you search.

Why? I've owned two Porsche's now, my first for four years and they're incredibly reliable. I'm sure there's a lemon every now and then, but compared to my 2015 Yukon Denali, my 911 is my "reliable car". Go figure.

My new 2015 Yukon Denali has had the engine completely die, computer problems and last week, the new 8 speed transmission got all confused and went into rapid acceleration mode, which caused the breaks to engage and lock in some sort of emergency protocol which caused the car to slide sideways into oncoming traffic. Thankfully I'm a halfway decent driver and was able to avert disaster. It's had a few other niggly issues as well and it doesn't even have 10k on it!

Here is my temp ride for the next week or so...

Fits right in down here:

Stringreen,

As I understand, you was looking for dynamic car as first priority?

Too much of a station car with its limited range?

Might as well throw in which is better, blondes or redheads (no offense to brunettes :))

If you remember from biology 101, the woman always chooses, so an audiophile would be low on the list and thus a redundant discussion on these forums....

Mark.......You may assume whatever you wish. It's what everyone does anyway. My age has nothing to do with it. I have never allowed any woman to have that kind of power over me where she thinks she can tell me what to do, try to control my behavior, or for that matter where I can sleep other than my own bed. I love my woman. She's a wonderful gal but I don't cower to her about anything. If you empower women with control over you, then you get what they choose to dish. Groveling isn't my cup of tea. Being close to whatever has never been an issue, either. I make no apologies for who I am, nor should I have to.

Just wait until you have three with two being under the age of 3. Male bluster goes out the window.....

As for being displaced from my bed, its already happened thanks to #2. She is still breast feeding and wakes up quite a bit at night. Just like pilots, sleep deprivation is dangerous for my vocation....

LOL, that has always been my priority with cars (700 hp S/C BMW) :). Electric is great if the power comes from the sun and NOT coal. I personally am waiting for fuel cells to come to market in a big way.

Geardaddy.......It may be bluster at your home but at my home and in my life it is the real deal. Being subservient to any woman is not in my DNA.

As for kids, have all you want, populate the world with lovely children. I have none and could not be happier with that life choice.

There is a happy medium. I know some guys that have given total control of their lives to their wives. At the other extreme are guys with the attitude of "It's my way or the highway." Those type don't normally stay married long unless their wife is a doormat.

Porsche has been at or near the top of JDPower initial and long-term quality surveys for the last several years.

I've always thought marraige was a partnership?

50% fail, and I don't think a home decor is a true partnership. It more like a lopsided partnership. Either one is wealthy enough to build a dedicated a/v room, or it is banishment to the basement.
