Do you go camping?

Do any of you folks do much camping in the outdoors? If so, what is your preferred method? E.g., Car camp with a tent, tow a trailer, backpack with light weight gear, etc.

We used to do a lot of car/tent camping but as I'm getting older I'm not much for sleeping on the ground anymore. My wife and I are entertaining the idea of purchasing a smallish travel trailer this summer to allow us quick getaways in our beautiful mountains.

Wondering if any of you guys enjoy getting away occasionally and camping?
 
Hell yeah! I ended up on Vancouver Island. I would get deported if I didn't go camping every summer! :)

Family car camping with a tent. Small footprint / low maintenance. I'm an IT Manager so I need the enforced disconnection.

Yes my body is starting to ache on the old roll mat as well...

Great term Gus, "enforced disconnection". Love it.

Anybody else get outside for overnight jaunts? Stars, campfires, fishing, hiking, lanterns, crickets?
 
I'm into backpacking. Sometimes minimalist, others times I'll add a tent and a few comfort items. Definitely good for the soul to get lost and disconnec, even if only a weekend.
