Keep in mind guy 's that this is not my opinion. Please do not take my words negatively. I am just a dealer and apparently not entitled to form an opinion. Everything that I say is not to be construed in a negative way what so ever. SORRY I COULDNT HELP MYSELF, JUST JOKING. I will give my opinion to anyone who wants it.

Like any opinion, its worth what we pay for it! :). Dealers having opinions - shame on you. Do you not remember the dealer oath? "Thou shall not have any opinion."

In all seriousness, I love our dealers here. More the merrier. Their experiences and day to day interactions with the products we love are invaluable.

I would rather have the opinions and help of our dealers than some knucklehead on the Audiogon forums who's never even heard or lived with the products they proclaim to know so much about!

Audioshark dealers rock!! David, Nelson, Jeff, John, Bob, etc. we love you guys!

most dealers i know are audio enthusiasts first. even the ones that are price and $
driven and a little snobby toward the average consumer. they are still a valuable commodity and a great source to get a pretty good opinion out of. i treasure the dealers opinions, and find it be better than most consumers. ask me what the best table to buy, i will tell you mine. what speakers should i buy? mine are the best value. what amps should i get? dump those big watt amps and get some 300b's.lmao!!! see the way im going here. we all think our equipment is the best. and dealers can give a more honest roundabout opinion just from their knowledge because they have more equipment straight up.
to me the more dealers the better around here.
keep up the good work guys!!!!!

I really don't understand the introspection?

In the grand olde and bygone days of audio - dealers were the first port of call for consultation and advise. It made sense, dealers get more opportunity to try things out, to experiment with different combinations and permutations of product and to interact, comprehend and solve a multitude of customer tastes.

Has anything changed?

Certainly methods of buying have expanded and certainly information has never been more accessible - but in my mind the value proposition that dealers bring; experience, consultation and advise is immutable.
