Lots of walking / hiking going on over here since the introduction of the worlds-most-active puppy on April 15th of this year! At a minimum we're hiking the BLM / Open Space / Forest Service land (not sure what it is and where the various demarc's are) at least twice a day for 2-3 miles each outing. Though we often complain...especially at 6:00am or so, it sure is a nice walk and we always feel better after doing it.

The Springer Spaniel is one energetic dog in general (especially as a puppy) and this one just loves to bounce like a bunny thru the acres of sagebrush on our walks. Quite fun to watch him go.

Will see if I can remember to grab my camera and snap some pics of the view in the next few days.

Do you walk / hike on a regular basis?

I walk on a treadmill five days a week. Sometimes only twenty minutes, sometimes thirty or forty minutes. That is followed by sixty to ninety minutes of weight lifting. I finish with ten to fifteen minutes of stretching. I seldom walk outside, as this Texas heat is deadly!

Found some pictures from 2008:

Yes. I've not seen any myself but they are around.

Yeah that's crazy. The only thing I have to worry about around here with my dogs are coyotes and bald eagles. I think they could carry my dogs off! Oh, and the occasional fox that wants to come by and play...

Sent from my mobile.

I'd rather not ever run into or be stalked by a cougar.
