I'm just amazed that your TDS meltdown used almost verbatim wording from the latest attempted assassins manifesto.I find it disrespectful to use the American Flag on any kind of clothing, blankets, equipment (such as guitars), etc. It is desecration of the American flag. It is actually written in the American flag code.
"The U.S. Flag Code, found in Title 4, U.S. Code, outlines actions considered improper or disrespectful regarding the American flag. These guidelines are advisory and represent matters of etiquette rather than criminal offenses for private citizens. For example, the flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It is also improper to embroider it on items like cushions or handkerchiefs, or to print it on temporary items such as paper napkins or boxes.
The code advises against using the flag as a receptacle for carrying or delivering anything. Placing any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, or design upon the flag is discouraged. The flag should never be used for advertising.
It should also never be allowed to touch the ground, floor, water, or merchandise. Displaying the flag upside down is generally prohibited, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property. The Flag Code also advises against using the flag as a costume or athletic uniform."
No, it is not illegal, but it is very disrespectful and considered desecration of the American flag. Anyone who is being respectful of our flag would not put it on any clothing or other items but will respectfully display the flag only on a flagpole and properly only display it from sunrise to sunset. Any person who ever served in the military know this etiquette for display of the American flag.
There you go again. Not being a fan of a political figure has nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing to do with being a patriot and caring deeply for our country. As I have stated, multiple times now, I support the American people and our country, not a political party or ideology. Exactly as our founding fathers said and recommended (research Geoge Washington among many others).I'm just amazed that your TDS meltdown used almost verbatim wording from the latest attempted assassins manifesto.
Basically verbatim.
So you'll forgive us if we ignore you suddenly caring about respect for this country.

I was actually a software developer at Vandenburg working on launching and deploying satellites that triangulated Bin Laden (NROL-49 was the third and final one for this effort; I have several photos from my office and from the launch pad) so that our Seal Team knew when they could get him (I received a medal from our Colonel as a member of our small team that provided the resources to do this task). So please don't talk to me about being a patriot. I have done my duty many times over. And please do not ever question my love for my country just because I do not support a particular politician. I have told you this many times and you are blinded in your belief of what does and does not show true patriotism in this country.

I could care less about your mother-in-law. I know who I am and just because I have followed and know who certain other people actually are, has no bearing on my love of my country or not. I would advise you looking a bit deeper into what this great country is actually based upon, but I doubt you will.

Hey Mike, I do not doubt the intentions behind a particular paint job, just like I do not doubt the intentions of a semi-famous musician painting his guitar like an American flag believing he is showing patriotism. I feel deep down that every time I see a flag on clothing, portrayed on a piece of gear, or on a pickup truck for that matter, that the meaning on the flag is being somewhat desecrated. Would I go up to that person with the flag across their ass? No, but in my opinion, it is disrespectful to the flag, as is stated in the code.Randy, this was a dedication to the 250th anniversary of our great country. This project was a lot of hard work and it was a celebration for the entire Clarisys team. Just stop and think for a second: who actually painted this? People in Vietnam!!! They PROUDLY painted it and you want to know what? It was THEIR IDEA.
Not derailing just stating the actual fact of the U.S. Flag Code, and how many people believe it is very disrespectful to our flag.Reposting in an attempt to get back on track from Randy intentionally derailing the thread.

Hmmm, I didn't throw any insults at you, but I guess you simply cannot help yourself. Stating a fact on the official code for displaying the flag as per the United States Flag Code makes you feel you need to insult me. Sure, go ahead. What an amazing guy you are.
My rant, as you call it, was stating the flag code and nothing else. You are the one bringing all the other crap into play and then insulting and trying to blame me. It is the same thing as always. You change the direction of a thread and then blame other people.
By the way, the language I used is the exact same language that is being used all across this nation now, in many various platforms. Close to 70% of the people are aligned in very similar perspective and dislike of a particular politician. Just because a sick person happens to write this in his sprawling letter has no bearing on a vast majority of the people feeling a similar way. One thing does not equate to the other sir. Also, your Mesiah uses as strong, if not MUCH STRONGER language on a daily basis my friend.
