I'm reading all this with interest. From my vantage point , notwithstanding all the diverse experiences people have had with ultrasonic, vacuum , etc - it strikes me that the hidden attraction of the Ultrasonic machines is convenience , one button operation and automatic cycles. For the time being I'm going to stick with my tried-and-tested Monks Ruby machine. PITA to run ? Yes - but I'm not going to argue with the results.

Not a Clearaudio customer, but he always seems to buy one of the top end stuff for demo but on the expensive side. Its up to his retailers to buy demo stk if they want to sell stuff thou.

All the reason why Clearaudio should take it off him, (he's just another middleman that does nothing for the consumer but boost the price).

Retailers should be able to order and be incentived directly. Australian prices just may compare to the rest of the world then, instead of the end consumer having to pay more because of this middleman that is monopolising and choking the industry here. He provides nothing over and beyond the manufacturer's warranty and if he was out of the way, retailers would sell more. This is what I am hearing constantly.

Clearaudio aside, he is exclusive to other brands and dictates the price for those brands. People walk away and often buy overseas if they really want it.

I have heard the frustrations of many people regarding the situation in Australia.
 
Golucid you have had the Clear Audio for awhile now are you still as star struck on it as you were . Reason I ask is I can get a Clear Audio here in Canada for 4K Canadian. The Canadian Dollar is not at its best these days.

More than my Audio Desk but it sounds like it is a better cleaner is that still your take on it.
 
Garth - Golucid is no longer participating in this or the other forums that he used to at his own request. He must be too busy cleaning his LPs! ;)
