Yes , they are a company from England that makes some unbelievably
Good gear. I've heard their phonostage and preamp together. Not sure of the model numbers ,
I always forget that part. Lol but they were exceptional !!! Most all was out of my pricerange but they have been around for a long time I remember in the late 90's listening to some of their gear and even back then it was top shelf stuff.
A friend of mine from out west swares by the Chord cd Player he has. I haven't been out there to hear it since he bought it. But he is close to rmaf. I may have to go.
I'd check it out , and give it a listen if it fits your pricerange.

Heard them at the NYAS earlier this year. Sounded darn good driving the Kef Blades...:audiophile:

Hi mike, I joined this audio site, this is audiolabyrinth from audiogon, I took you up on your invite, cheers.

I only know of the Dac that is a value leader, the Qute HD. I have it running with a Dutch BoTWs Linear PSU and should be getting a Paul Hynes SR3 in October to compare that with the BoTWs.

Chord is noted for running their gear with ultra high grade SMPS.

Hi, Thankyou fellas, what a warm welcome, I live in mobile, Al,, I am from north west Florida, Panama city, pensacola, Ft,walton Beach, and Destin, FL!,, Currently I own all the Best cables available of Taralabs, I own a Krell 700cx that is at krell now getting totally renewed and modded!, the amp will be home next month!, I own a pair of 1992 JBL L7 speakers that are modded with Taralabs omega jumper cables and stillpoints footers to give a little inert sound to the cabinets!, currently, I am looking for a state of the art or close digital cd-player with volume control, likly analog!, I own a Ayon 2s that did not fit my sound on my system,so thats why I am looking, to give you gentleman an Idea of what these old speakers do, they are 3 foot from rear walls and side walls, with only 5 degrees toe in!, not many speakers can do that, my next pair of speakers will likly be of the JBL Everest line, there is not many audiophiles that know that the Everest DD 67000 speakers are the Best available these days!, nearly on any system!, cheers gentleman.

I remember reading great reviews from Chord and especially the Qute HD dac. I love the way it looks.

Hi Keith,

Wow!

Very nice. Can't wait to read your comments on the modded Krell. Very nice cables you have there. I've been told by more than a few to go for Taralabs. I need to hear them.

Funny you mention about the JBL Everest DD67000. Have you seen this link http://audioshark.org/speakers-10/whats-your-opinion-these-everest-dd67000s-2260.html#.UiXqcrx5jaY I would love to hear them.

Joe,

Ted from another forum will be doing a full review of the Qute with his Hynes Power supply. It promises to be eye-opening. I will let you know ASAP.

I am not big on cables, but I use these: swisscables - Home , designed by the LumenWhite speaker designer. Check out the whitepaper at that site.

Thank you Norman! I look forward to reading it.

Cables are a bit of a voodoo thing for me. It takes me a long time to decide if I like them or not.

Hi,
You can have the same amps for a decent price. Goldmund subcontracts with other manufacturers.
JOB Audio Hi-Fi Components.

Ive heard the same setup a long time ago. Though decent, was not completely blown away. One can design a custom audio room from the ground up for 1/10 the price with equal or far better results, suited to ones own personal taste! Most of the audio in that range is jewelry! 1mil system definitely will not be head and shoulders above 50-100K systems.

Norman,

That Job 225 from the jobsys.com website is the one that sells on amazon.com for $1500 US. Eventually they will go direct for $1700 but shipping is included. On amazon shipping is $75.
