Anyone have a favorite listening seat/chair/loveseat, etc. recommendation?

I've gone through a ton of listening spot seats. I currently have a $5K massage chair in my room, but have had overstuffed chairs from Restoration Hardware, a dual-reclining loveseat, a regular loveseat, and a couple of others. I've changed out listening spots more than my gear and that's a lot! So what's your favorite spot to park your self for a couple of hours and relax to music or a movie in your listening/screening room?

It's time for another change for me and I thought I'd see what everyone else likes.

+1 on Stressless!
Just make sure you get one with a low headrest. You don't want a tall one as it will provide a reflective surface right behind your ears.

Bad back here, so am using a Steelcase ergonomic chair. More comfortable than the name suggests.:)

Herman Miller Eames aluminum group executive chair. I have a padded fabric version and an unpadded leather model. I have been sitting in one of these off and on for 20 years.

The Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman is difficult to beat. I opted for a leather couch in my sound room for greater seating capacity but if I were shopping for a single seat, the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman would be at the top of my list.

The Stressless chairs are very good. One of their strong points is that they are available in different sizes, so you can get it to fit your body as well as possible. I tried several and found it makes a big difference.

The Stressless chairs look interesting. I looked around and it appears to be a special order kind of thing. The dealers in my area don't carry any of the models for you to even sit in prior to picking a leather and hardware color along with the model of chair. So what model is everyone using? The Crown and Nordic models look nice but I know absolutely sh$@ about these chairs. There sure are a lot to choose from. I'm surprised I never heard of them before. Definitely on my short list though.

Currently, I am using a Scandinavian recliner I bought in 98. After a few years I put it aside, and haven't used it until recently. Before this I was using a Lazy-Boy recliner, Hermen Miller office chair, and an Office Max Executive chair. While all three served their purpose, I am now really enjoying revisiting this recliner.

Who knows what will be swapped in next month?

Stress less, Eames and 3/4 recliners are my preferences. Currently satisfied with the latter. Trialed a serious massage chair...Big mistake, sent it back.

We have two. For the wife, the Mayfair and for me the Kensington. Some advice. You need to go seat in a few styles as with anything different styles carry different prices

What is your zip code ? Find a Store
