CES news 2014

:blush::blush::blush::blush:

Thanks very much guys, working on Pt. 3 tonight and the last part will probably be up after get back home on Sat.

Peter Breuninger and I are doing our show wrap up tomorrow and that should be up at AVShowrooms next week.

Thank you, Myles. That is the best show report I have ever read. And I read them all from stereophile to absolute sound to positive feedback to bloggers. You cover not just equipment but people. You cover well known brands and lesser known brands. You cover vinyl deliciously. You give enough information and photos - name the products, give some detail and share your POV. And that last part is most important. You aren't just reporting the weather - you offer some context and opinion and comparison (eg "in contrast to the vast majority of rooms heard at this and other shows--was that there was actually really a midrange! What a concept! And no evidence of that artificial edge that I've heard in the other TAD models over the years"). Superb. And appreciated. You (and Alan Sircom) are the two best reviewers on planet earth right now. Cheers.

Thanks, I do intentionally cover the people in the industry. I feel it's important because we read about the designers and their equipment but few will ever get to meet or see them. And there's so many good guys/gals as well as characters in the industry! :)

Here is the lowdown on the VA Music of the Klimt series vs. The new Imperial of the Lizst series
Price 29.9k vs 12.5k
fully articulated tweeter module that can move up and down and side to side swivel. The imperial has a smaller different tweeter in a module that can only swivel left and right. To change angle of front edge the 4 feet on the base can b raised or lowered to sort of tilt the speaker toward the desired listener ear height.
Nicer veneer and finish on the Music.
3 adjustable levers to tune speaker to your room.
+supertweeter and larger woofers down to 18HZ

As the Music was paired with VTL 7.5 and D'ag monoblocks it was ez to c why it sounded so much finer than the new Imperial which may b perfect for smaller rooms at a lower budget. I think Primare amps were used on the Imperial.
Cheers,

Nick

Thanks Nick; and with some pictures to add to that, graciousness of Leo Yeh.
...And all for you Paul, plus for all the other members and guests too, of course.

I have wired question
I was there today
trying to find out what is the white machine on the left that make a great smell of eucalyptus (smoke)

someone know?

Have no idea
I like how it's look and the smell
thought it will be nice to have one like that in my living room

Could you indicate exactly what it looks like, and in which picture exactly can you see it?
...You said it's white, and what shape does it have? ...Not that white long bowling pin?
...Or does it have transparent plexiglass tubes? ...Nah, or you would have mentioned it.
If you can be more precise I'll do my very best to find out exactly what it is. :)

EDIT: Ho, you've already found it! :cool: ...But I was very close, and I would have find it too.
{You can see it on the first and last (4th) picture.}

Check this cool light's effect! :cool: ...You can see them at the back, in the two corners, atop some wood furniture & stands.

* The people sitting in that room are looking at each other to find out who's got some acid (LSD). :D
...I think the guy sitting on the left, further in the background, is the one. :) ...They all look at him!
...And the girl strippers are in the kitchen (alcove door to the right) getting ready. :cool:

There was a room like that at RMAF too.
