Can downloaded files pick up jitter as they go through the Internet.

Okay. So only when the file is going into the DAC does the file have the chance to get jitter. I know file transfers are exact, but after looking at the diagrams showing how jitter is introduced as a packet is reconstructed it occurred to me that occurs in a lot of places. I guess I can sleep better now knowing jitter is not being added to a downloaded file. :)

Yes, jitter is, to a greater or lessor extent, introduced when the bit stream goes to the DAC.

And yes again, jitter is not added by download.
