Hi Everyone,
I currently have 15 amp outlets in my townhouse and an Audience AR6-TSSOX power conditioner (15 amp model).
I do not have a basement to house a large torroidal power unit. I do have a decent sized closet near my system. I also could make space on the bottom of my rack (is this too close to my audio components?).
I may be moving in less than two years, so I don't want to sink a ton of money into non-removable equipment from my townhouse.
I have the following components coming in:
Vandersteen M7-HPA Monoblocks - Each 20 amp cord and designed to be plugged into wall
ARC Reference 10 Preamp (Potentially) - One 20 amp cord
Existing components:
Esoteric K-01X - 15 amp cord
Vandersteen 7 MkII subwoofer monoblocks - Each 15 amp cord and designed to be plugged into wall
My dealer says I need two to three 20 amp outlets. I currently use two 15 amp outlets, one for the power conditioner (all components plugged in) and one for the subwoofer monoblocks.
I want surge protection against lightning and other power surges, and excellent power conditioning and isolation.
Can anyone help me to formulate a plan? I need to address this quickly. My head is spinning.
Best,
Ken
