Bricasti M28???

Hi

I have them and have compared them to some other amplifier. Pass labs XS150 160.5 100.5 Krell ARC .. I can say they are some of the best I have heard if not the best,

Hi Jensen,

I also just received a pair of M28's and am driving them with the current version of the M1.
Wondering how is it going and which cabling loom you have settled on?
Congratulations also. They are phenomenal amplifiers. Unbelievably quiet as well.
I cannot hear the transformers at all...and I seem to be sensitive to this in my relatively small room and adore how quiet they are.

I could not agree more with the positive writings on the M 28. As a long time dealer for tube gear I had to have a really good ss amplifier in my demo room. Using the new Signature Gold Edition M 1 through a pair of Kubala Sosna Elation XLR interconnects to the M 28's and listening to the incredible Wilson Benesch Carbon Fiber Evolutions the sound is so convincing and so much fun. Not diamond, beryllium, ribbon tweeters. Just the sweet sound of a carbon fiber reenforced soft dome tweeter.

Welcome to AudioShark SoundsRealAudio! I agree with you that the Wilson Benesch speakers are something really special. I have their Vertex monitors which use their same proprietary carbon/soft dome hybrid tweeter and it produces provides an exceptionally smooth and subtlety revealing sound.

I haven't heard the Vertex. How is the bass response? Don't want to highjack this thread but curious.

The Vertex has very nice bass response but only down to about 40 Hz. I run them supplemented by a Martin Logan BalancedForce 210 sub which integrates beautifully crossed over at ~45 Hz. The amazing thing about the Vertex is that they use the same top level tweeters and main drivers run full range as they do on their top $115K Cardinals, and also still use their exceptional carbon fiber cabinet design. They're $9,500 a pair in standard finishes including the integrated stands, offering an exceptional value.
