I've had a great afternoon listening to music on my new Tannoy Rig and thought I would share a few pics.

That setup looks awesome!!

Brent, I see some people like Jim have Stands for the Tannoy’s. Will you consider them?

Gorgeous room. Wow.

Tannoy are very nice, if I held McIntosh, Tannoy would have been a strong choice

Brent,

Congratulations on the Tannoy Canterbury GR!

They look perfect in your room which is a just a fantastic setting.
Looks like such a great place to relax and listen to some music.

Roon sending DS512 to the T+A DAC 8 DSD must be amazing with the Tannoys!

Regards.

Lovely set up Brent. May i ask how you snake your left speaker cable over? Is it under the floor?

Thanks

howie

Guys! Thank you for all of the wonderful compliments! The sound is even more beautiful than the amazing looks of the Canterbury GR.

Mike, I need to look into stands...never really thought about it with how big these suckers are (the pics don't really show it.)

Regarding the speaker cable to the left speaker....I run it under the right speaker then under the white rug and back under the left speaker to the terminal. I'm sure some would argue that static electricity could be an issue????

Thanks again, all!

I wanted to take a moment to report back on the Tannoy Canterburys. I bought these from a gentleman in Maine who had these in a second system for 6 months. He estimated they had about 50 hours on them. I am pleased to announce that these speakers get sweeter with each passing hour. There was a slight shoutyness right out of the box but that has completely passed and the bass has rounded into full form. I've never looked forward to listening time like right now.

I took about an hour to wax the speakers last weekend....what fun! I turned on some bluegrass and had a blast! I am a woodworker, but rarely use wax...what a delightful tactile experience!

Wonderful room, as everyone has noted; what a relaxing and invigorating living space! I'm glad you mentioned that you've now waxed them, because I hit "Reply" just to mention that those Tannoys looked thirsty. I just waxed my Canterbury GR's last week after 8 months of ownership; I should've done an application right off the bat.
