Hello folks!
I was recently given an MC2100 amp (S# 31W00) and a C26 pre-amp with several speakers as well.
I've read some of the posts regarding this amp; I've followed connection diagrams and connected a turntable and speakers.

Can get a peep out of them.

The pre-amp seems to power up just fine.

I understand that the amp doesn't have an "on" indicator and I've checked the primary fuse (it shows continuity).
When plugged in I don't hear any kind of humming or sound.
I turned it upside down and opened the back and sort of looked at things but not being electrically minded not sure what I should be looking at.
I didn't see any kind of burned or blackened circuitry; everything looked clean and no burnt smell either.
On one of the posts there is mention of a secondary fuse to the power transformer for my serial #, but I couldn't find it.

Is there someone trustworthy and reasonable in the San Antonio / Austin area that could look at it?
Maybe one of you can tell me how to hook it all up?

Remember: I can make a great sauce but don't know a transistor from a diode and what is this "caps" I keep reading about?

Thanks so much for your interest and time.

Welcome aboard!

Bjorn’s is a Mac retailer in San Antonio and, I think, would be able to help you out.

Frenchchef.......Here is a section of the power supply schematic for the McIntosh MC2100. It shows two fuses (F 201 and F 202). In the NOTES section of the service manual NOTE 10 states fuse F 202 is not used in units with serial numbers below 99W26, so depending on what your MC2100 serial number may be there is a possibility that fuse F 202 may or may not be present.
