Listening to one of his Greatest Hits albums on Spotify now. This song in particular is so simple but so great!.....

Lovely Day:

Any other Bill Withers fans here?

Grandma's Hands is a terrific one. Of course, Ain't No Sunshine, Use Me, Lean on Me and so many others.

I had no idea how many were involved with that song:

Per Wikipedia - ""Just the Two of Us" is a 1981 R&B single written by Bill Withers, William Salter and Ralph MacDonald, which was recorded by Grover Washington, Jr. and Bill Withers. The song appeared on Washington's album Winelight. It reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100, and stayed there for 3 weeks, behind "Morning Train (9 to 5)" by Sheena Easton and "Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes. The song won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song.[SUP][1][/SUP] Bill Withers recorded another version of the song which is included on a CD of his greatest hits."
