Better device for streaming Pandora & Spotify than an old Squeezebox Classic?

The extent of my digital music listening is from CD/SACD (20% of my digital listening) vs. streaming from Pandora & Spotify (80% background music while I work from home).

I'm using the Squeezebox Classic in both systems for casual listening/streaming of these services and have little interest in paying for digital music other than my $9.95/mo subscription to Spotify. I don't normally sit down and listen intently to streamed music via these services, BUT its pretty convenient to do so when feeling lazy or when we have visitors that aren't into the focus that vinyl requires.

Are there other devices that would or could draw more resolution/detail/impact from these streaming services than the simple Squeezebox Classic?

Since I'm not interested in DSD or other HD paid services, I'm just trying to eek out the best of Pandora and Spotify.....if that's even possible given their limited data streams.

What do you guys use to stream Pandora / Spotify if these services are even on your radar anymore?

Thanks.

Mike I have an old Duet that I use for digital purposes. It's all I need as far as digital goes since digital is only good for background music anyway.

I actually think it does a pretty good job. Keep the Squeezebox and use the money on more vinyl.

Not much! I hold on to my SBTs, for dear life; and what they command on the used market...which is more than their msrp new, now that they're discontinued. Is testament that...nothing streams (and by streams, I mean services and Internet Radio) like a Squeezebox.

But...look at the Marantz NA8005, or upcoming Pioneer N-70; if you must.

Thanks for the info guys.

I have to agree Chris and Doug, the older Squeezebox interface is quite handy and simple to use...and it doesn't sound half bad either.
