Oh yes, I’ve had the 40’s at home and these are at least twice the size. I have the my original L100’s In my family room with my Pioneer SX-1280. Last night I hooked up my old Marantz 2270. I was seriously worried something would start smoking as it’s been sitting in a box in the garage. Nope, listened for 3 hours straight. The old girl sounded quite good. These old receivers aren’t meant for modern speaker cables, although I did talk to AudioQuest and they quite oddly make a connector for vintage receivers, so I ordered some Rocket 44’s with my reward points. For a brief second, I thought they might be Harbeth.
