Ha ha...
Local AVG dealer says high WAF because it looks like a flower...
It's amazing how women react to the look of Avantgarde speakers. My wife loves the look, she says they look like a piece of art instead of speakers.
Mine too. Man, I'll never figure them out.
TBH and IMO, the DUOs are the most challenging looking of the lineup.
The TRIOs and the Zeros would not look out of place in, say, MoMA in NY.
The DUO Mezzos as well as the UNO Fino (UNO XD be an upsized version) will fit into a modern chic interior.
In the DUOs, form follows function so look a bit more utilitarian. But, as the entry to the larger mid horn, its value for money can't be beaten.
I've heard the new XD series mitigates those bass driver/horn integration challenges.
My friend Jerry Seh (also on this forum) loves his AV duo Mezzo's. He said the horn loaded driver is excellent and I believe with XD technology should be a winner. Will have to see though.
I also don't have a 4m wide room either, but man those Trio's look awesome!
Well, I've heard Trios sound bad, with horrible bass integration, and also heard Duos sound fantastic, fully integrated. It's all in the setup. The new XD stuff should make that part easier, as today it's a fully analog process.
It took us about a day to set up the Duo Mezzos in our room at THE Show in Newport Beach this year!
