....I am sure we have some members comparing those pieces now.
We are all looking forward the first listening tests between the ARIES and the Aurender :celebrate008_2:

The strength of Sooloos is the UI.
Not to take anything away from the X100L -- I've sold a bunch -- a system at the level of yours merits a serious audition of the W20.
USB cable performance can vary quite a bit, depending upon what's at each end.
Hi Paul,Brain, Can you provide some commentary on the critical differences between the 100N and the S10 that impact SQ. No need to mention the obvious ones like usb output and storage. What about clock, etc.? Thanks,
Aurender requires the DAC to be capable of handling DoP (DSD over PCM). Does that answer your question? Is there any plan on the Aurender (or the software) being able to convert DSD to PCM on the fly if someone doesn't have a DSD capable DAC?

It never hurts to ask!Yes, thank you. Was just curious. I know some players can convert DSD to PCM on the fly.
Hi Paul,
Since I haven't had an S10 I can't comment on that, however the N100 has a linear power supply which helps. It's not in the same league as the drastically more costly W20, although that should come as no surprise. Compared with the X100L, the performance depends on the associated equipment.
We will have the N100 and X100L on demo in our room (554) at AXPONA next month, and the W20 in the Bricasti Design room (422), and I encourage you to check them out. Additionally, Aurender president Harry Lee and sales director Sally Jeung will be present -- Harry is a very bright electronics engineer who can answer your questions.
Others helping us at the show include Jeff Haagenstad and Jim Kinne of Exogal, Duke LeJeune of AudioKinesis, Chris and Melissa Owen of Clarity Cable, Bob Spence of Essence of Music, and Taras Kowalczysyn of Teo Audio.
And you are always welcome to come for a listen here, too. I'm having an open house a week from Saturday, on March 21st, when I'll be demonstrating much of what we'll have at the show.

Thanks, and I look forward to meeting you!
No, there is no comparison I'm aware of, especially since the N100 is so new. Do you own an S10? In any event, I have the N100, X100L, and W20 here, which you are welcome to audition and compare, here and/or in your home.Brain, I was just looking for the spec differences to start. I realize sq will be system dependent. Is a comparison of the specs between the S10 and 100N available? There really isn't much detail on the web site.

Paul,No, I may want to but it is hard to say without specs.
No worries. But if you call me Brain Wash we'll need to talk. :lol:Ok Brian thanks. Maybe I will stop by the store some time. Sorry about misspelling your name.
