Audio company that never disappoints...

We are fortunate to have great customer service in our hobby. In my personal experience, the following manufacturers go beyond good to great customer service:

Xact Audio (Steve Dobbins)

Absolare/Echole (Kerem Kucukaslan)

512 Engineering/Marutani (Scott Rust and Tim Marutani)

VAC (Kevin Hayes and Brent Meyer)

Soulution (Cyrill Hammer)

CH Precision (Cossy Florian)

Dartzeel (Herve Deletraz)

Playback Designs (Andreas Koch)

TotalDac (Vincent Brient),

Robert Koda (Robert Koch), and

Sound Galleries Monaco (Ed Hsu).

Audio Research Corp. - started with them back in the 1960's with D76, SP3 and tympani speakers.
Audioquest - always reliable and decent sound for that second system or as a recommendation to a friend starting out on a budget

PS Audio is on the list, as well as Wilson Audio, D’Agostino and Nordost. Wait a minute this list is what I ended up with [emoji851]

Two companies are at the top of my list:

--TotalDac. Vincent has spent the last 2 days helping me update the software on my d1-server AND getting Roon to work. (And if I had read the manuals VERY carefully, I wouldn't have needed his help, but that's another story!). Responded AMAZINGLY quickly, always willing to help. And his products finally helped me forget about whether the source is vinyl or digital, and just love the music.

--VAC. Also consistently GREAT service AND great products.

For me it is Rosso Fiorentino. They are somewhat of an 'acquired taste' in that you have to spend time with them to fully realize what they do. Once you do, its addicting.

Agreed....I heard the Sienna 1st generation at AXPONA 2011 and they are addicting! The new generation and the top of the line monsters look even better!

While practically a newcomer to what has been mentioned so far I'll throw 'Rogue Audio' in there for the simple fact that not only do their products not disappoint, they play well above their price point. To me that's delivering the goods !

Forgot to mention Van Alstine- AVAHiFi. I know Frank personally and live about 3 minutes from him. He is opinionated and bias but he makes great sounding gear for a budget price. His new hybrid mono block amps at 850 wpc can compete with some of the big boys. He always answers his phone and stands by his products. Great customer service and a 30 day money back guaranty with no surcharge or restocking fee.

I also like Shunyata. Great products.

I would also add Wilson Audio, Synergistic Research, Audio Research, PS Audio, Pass Labs, Audeze, Cardas, Magnepan, Noble, Rupert Neve, Black Cat cables, and Benchmark.

I would also add Esoteric and VPI. I do wish VPI would slow down the upgrade cycle. That is impacting owners and tweakers.

I have also to add another one: I am big fan of the Brinkmann turntables, especially the Bardo.

Also bought a Nyquist DAC recently and I am just in awe of the engineering sophistication and how it sounds.

There are a few brands which are good. But personally I think a brand stands or falls with the distributor and the shops selling it. Even a great brand can lose it's reputation by crappy distributors.

Blumenhofer
Symphonic Line
Octave
But my top pick would be Van den Hul cartridges and phono preamps.

For me if I had to name one it would be Bryston. There service is absolutely world-class and their products are IMO the best value in high-end audio. The 20 year transferable warranty on analogue products is also world class.

I would suggest Von Schweikert Audio.
Albert himself took my order, called me with updates on the build.
Spent 45 minutes on the phone with Albert discussing cable options and suggestions.
Above and beyond the norm.
This in addition to building excellent speakers.

Ayon Audio from Austria.

I am located at India and I have been using Ayon source products over a decade time.

It all began with.
Ayon cd1
Ayon cd2
Ayon Skylla Dac2
And now the superb Ayon Stratos DAC pre.

I’ve got a more limited experience base, but Bryston is definitely on this list.
