Ascending to even greater heights

i was on the way to order an alpha2 iec19 and skipped it because i thought whenever i would upgrade later on to sigma or omega, then the alpha iec19 would be out of any use.

Caelin, do you mean that the Omega XC is only manufactured with a C19 connector?

All "XC" class power cords are designed specifically as wall-to-conditioner cables. They are optimized for that specific purpose. All of our power distributors and conditioners use a 20A C19 type inlet. So, most XC power cables are built with the C19 connector.

That being said, there are other power conditioners on the market that do not use a C19 connector. Of course, we will make the XC cable with any other type connector to include the standard C15 style, PowerCon, CForm or any other type of connector.

Just FYI, these are the XC model power cords that we make:

Venom V10 XC
Delta v2 XC
Alpha v2 XC
Sigma v2 XC
Omega XC

Without getting myself in trouble, Jim, I will say that I believe you will quite happy with what is coming.

Something specifically for amplifiers.
Something to make owners of Delta D6, Alpha A12/A10 and Sigma S12 very happy.
Something to make our TYPHON fans happy. (which is no longer in production)
Something reasonably priced!

Maybe Saint Nicolas will have something in his sleigh?

More than that, I cannot say for now.

According to your post::

Well it is something quite strange. He says that he has ordered an Omega XC with a C15 connector from Shunyata, but that the cable with the C19 connector has very little sale and he does not dare to have it in stock. However, I do not understand that reasoning.

1) The main purpose of the Omega XC is to power the Everest.
2) If the dealer orders an Everest - he should order a proper XC cable to go with it.
3) All of our conditioners including Everest REQUIRE a C19 terminated power cable.

So as you said, ".. something is quite strange .."

The dealer should already know all of this.

Therefore, my comment about training.

If I were to guess and hope. I also have a smaller system. I want an Everest but, don't *need 8 outlets.

How about Everest 4000 = 2 receptacles = 2x2.

I don't think we will see a Denali 2000T Replacement as doesn't an Omega QR straight to wall suffice for many with high end amps?

Plus one less power cable needed on that configuration.

I have mono amps. In Australia OMEGA QR is $16K. So that's $32K for the pair of power cables. Compare that to the price of a Denali 2000T replacement and three lesser cables which might get you about OMEGA QR performance at a more affordable price point. Even if the lesser cable was a Sigma v2 you're still getting competitive in the game at a much more sensible price point.

Point taken. I didn't think of those configurations. True, if there was an eventually Everest 2000T that replaced the Denali 2000T. You use whatever power cord you desired, depending on your budget.

Once Caelin has clarified that the Omega XC can be manufactured with the C15 connector, I only see two possible options:
A.- That the Omega XC with the C15 connector is the order of a client with a non-Shunyata conditioner (unlikely, but not impossible) . In this case nothing to object since it is a commission.
B.- That the importer has ordered the Omega XC with a C15 connector, to have it in stock, thinking that it will be easier to sell than with a C19 connector. In this case I agree with Caelin that I should take a refresher course on Shunyata conditioners. My advice in this case is that I bought a round bread (hamburger type) put the Omega XC with C15 connector inside the bread and put a lot, a lot of ketchup, because you are going to have to eat it.

i see screws on the connectors, so i think you could change them from 15 to iec19.
not sure if shunyata sells the connector alone though.

The plugs and connectors are all potted internally, so no, I doubt if an end-user could switch connectors. And, you'd likely invalidate the limited lifetime warranty that comes with Shunyata products.

3 outlets would take care of my 3 active front speakers. Maybe some day. :)

Until then Triton V3 will have to do. Shelf preferred in my case. Using 3 of the CGS terminals as well.

Everest grade, but with 3-4 outlets, and cheaper than current Everest would be my preference. Probably wishful thinking.
