ARC Ref 75 or PASS X250.5

UPDATE- I've gone back to Harbeth, and have purchased a pair of 30.1s :superbanana:

So now I think the question almost becomes, Ref 75...or XA-30.5?

Congrats...The 30.1s are wonderful speakers. Sound terrific and are very well made.

I would opt for ARC Ref75. I think that amp and integrated will be a collectors item and cost 2x 10 years from now. I love my KEF LS50 speakers but they won't come alive unless they have a strong amp. I use my CJ Pr350 amp and that wakes the little buggars up. Not just in sound pressure level but in soundstage width and depth and nuance. I was using a 100 wpc simaudio SE integrated and it sounded anemic by comparison when driving the LS50 speakers.
