SQ wise, will they look to do something similar to Spotify (320kpbs), Tidal (redbook) or will they shoot for higher?

I hate to say this, but I'm going to say it anyway. I would rather go to the dentist and get a root canal than listen to PCM streaming over a stereo system. I listen to lossy, compressed PCM everyday when I listen to satellite radio in my vehicle. It's a sorry imitation of what music really sounds like. The classic jazz channel sounds the best, but that's not saying much. i'm still waiting to see if Meridian with their MQA can deliver 50% of what they are promising. When are their downloads going to be available?
The BEST thing, for me, about Tidal or any streaming service is the chance to hear whole CD's and then decide if I want to purchase the music. I might even end up buying it on Vinyl. But without this kind of service I would not get the chance to hear so much new and different music.
16bit/44.1khz minimum or forget about it.
Dan, (as you know) the CD audio bit rate is 1,411.2 kbit/s (as 2 channels × 44,100 samples per second per channel × 16 bits per sample = 1,411,200 bit/s = 1,411.2 kbit/s).
Is that what you are looking for?
