Winter is almost here, 6" of snow up at my buddy's camp in the Adirondack's. My sled ('12 Arctic Cat 1100 N/A) is ready to go. Snodeo weekend (12/13,14) is fast approaching……any other sledder's on the forum ?

I snowmobile a little bit but snowmobile repair is my profession. :) Your F/XF1100 is a really nice machine; I sell quite a few of those.

Matt, my first four stroke, I've been sledding since '74, way too many sleds to even remember. I was a loyal Polaris guy until that God-awful 'Fusion' came out ! My hot rod back in the day (1997), was a '94 Storm with a 1000cc HTG motor (215 HP, pump gas), 119.7 mph in 1000'. My buddies current Yammie Apex, supercharged, 135mph in 1000' !

Very cool! I see some pretty insane turbo 1100s come by my work. It's amazing what some of those guys are getting out of that motor and not having them blow. With that said, there's something to say about a sled that's bone stock and is super reliable. I rather hit the trail than lose a ride due to some stupid problem with some junky aftermarket part.

agreed, I'm 60 years old now..........I like comfort (heated seat) and the enjoyment of a couple Manhattans at days end now more than ever !!

PICT0052.JPG16 years ago, here's what 215 hp in a one liter motor looked like.........

Grew up on a snowmobile. raised in Beausejour Manitoba. Home of the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships since the 60's.
Gilles Villenueve used to race sleds there before he went into F1. Nothing like seeing 15 twin track sleds screaming around on an ice oval!. I miss snowmobiling dearly. Not into mountain riding. Did the Winnipeg to St. Paul 500 mile cross country race a couple of times. CRAZY!
