Any Sasha2 reports? Looking for opinions ...

Joe,

I think jax4736 took delivery of a pair of Sasha 2s. Maybe he will chime in after having them for a few months...

I have only heard them at their North American Premier. I was never a big proponent of the original Sasha. They just didn't grab me. The 2's seem much closer to the Alexia's than the 1 in MY mind. I believe they are a nice improvement.

Thank you Jim,

I disliked the original Sasha also, but I need to hear the new Sasha2 because of the changes. I've heard the Alexia and really like them but not sure I could optimize properly.

I know show conditions are not the best. But the Sasha 2'a were among the best sounds I heard at the Montreal show. They were driven by the D'Agastino pre and stereo amp. The system just sounded so right, good at everything.

I demoed Sasha's this past weekend.
They are a good speaker. I don't know the price but if I guess the twentys then that puts a number of very good speakers. Revel Salons, Dynaudio C2 maybe C4 just a couple. Sasha's are not in the same league as Alexia's. There is a substantial difference between those two speaker.

I am a current Sasha 2 owner and have a pair of Alexia's on the way. I started with the Sophia 3. Coming from Sophia 3, I loved the better bass, imaging, and tweeter on the Sasha 2. The sense of scale is also larger - this is important to me as I listen to a lot of orchestral music. The a Alexia expands on all these categories too - can't wait to receive my pair.

Are you selling the Sasha 2's?

I am trading them in at my dealer, rather than selling them independently.

Terrific. Congrats on your new Alexia's. When do you get them? What color did you go with?
