Hi All, First post from a long-term UK-based lurker who has gained a lot of useful insights from the site , so thanks for that!
I've been obsessed with music since my hard-up parents bought an old valve radiogram from the UK equivalent of a yard sale in about 1972. It cost them all of 50 pence (about one dollar at the time), so probably qualified as "entry-level".
From that time up until 1999, my main tactic for making music sound better was to turn it up. I then, somehow, managed to catch a bad case of Audiophilia and have been on the slippery slope ever since.
Current system is :
SME 20 / SME 5 / Lyra Etna
Wadia 971 / 931 / 922
Musical Fidelity KWP / KW Monoblocks
Raidho D3.1
Dynamique Audio cables throughout
Speakers and all electronics are on SRA Ohio Plus bases and all except the monoblocks are powered via a pair of PS Audio P5 Regenerators.
