The video says it all. Unbelievable! Had the Motorcyclist done ANYTHING this could have been avoided. Looks like everyone came out of it okay.

What the heck was the guy on the motorcycle thinking? Unbelievable.

I saw that last week. Not sure what the hell the motorcyclist was doing, besides not paying attention. At least he helped break the fall of the first cyclist. If the guy on the motorcycle could have held on it might have made for a pretty cool trick.

That would have been good! :D

In the past when I've been Mountain Biking and come up on an obstacle I want to avoid, the more I focus on the obstacle the more tendency I have to hit it. It helps to look down the road beyond the problem area. I think the Motorcyclist did the same thing and froze.

Wise word my Dad taught me many years ago, look to where you want to go. I bet your right ... it did seem like he had target lock on the cyclists ass. Guess he shouldn't have been looking there.

Motorcyclists are usually the most dangerous people and do the most dangerous and stupid things on the road.

I know. I ride the Long Island Expressway.

As a roadie, it kills me to see videos like this. I don't think the motorcyclists was doing anything stupid, he just froze as Doug said. Did you see the first cyclists head snap back when he got hit? Ugh. I'm just glad those guys got up and walked away from that accident.

+1

Mulholland Drive? I hate that road. Too many fatal accidents there. It could have been worse.

I've been riding mini-bikes, motorcycles go-karts...etc. since I was around 10.

Of all the bone headed accidents I've seen, many caused by an 18ish year old, a six pack of beer and a 180 horsepower crotch-rocket, this one is in a class by itself.

Fortunately, the motorcycle wasn't going that fast, and the motorcycle rider, he(her?) must have been asleep at the handlebars or something.

I've made my share of mistakes over the years, fortunately I've never hurt anyone else, nor myself.
The day I'm riding slow and manage to ram into something, person, bicyclist, parked car, brick wall or whatever, assuming I live through it, will be my last day on a motorcycle in this life.

Added: I can't begin to imagine how sad, embarrassed, mortified, humiliated..._____________ I'd have felt standing there beside a bicyclist I'd taken out.
