Amps stable down to 1ohm or below...

I had a pr of VK600’s with Bat packs , they sounded great on my monitors at 8 ohms , could not drive a pr ML Fullrange ESL’s and was weak on anything below 8/4 ohm , easily beaten by a pr of Aragon 4004 at the time ...

The very new maybe an improvement here , cant say never heard , i do like their tooby amps and Pre thou ..

Arm -chair arguing ? project much ..? Obviously you misunderstood my response ...?

I don't know about the current Spectral amplifiers, but if they have not changed since the early 1990s models, I have to agree with a.wayne. At that time I attempted to drive a pair of Apogee Duetta Signatures (not as bad as other Apogee speakers, but a hard load nonetheless) and the amplifier kept thermally shutting down. I had all their recommended components in the path (borrowed from the dealer, MIT cables and the current Spectral preamp of the day). The store owner came out and set it up himself as he thought I might have wired something incorrectly, but again. about 10 minutes of Chris Cornell wailing at a not-so-loud SPL shut them down.

Again, I don't know about their current models.

A 1 Ohm load throughout was never the point. I was answering about Martin Logan's which dip down into 1 Ohm.

Apogee duetta's are a 3 ohm load , ML are 1 ohm only at very high frequencies, so very little load ..... The OP is about 1 ohm and lower, spectral will not work here IMO ...
