Alexias on order!

Nope. I have been in strategy meetings this week - no time for a couple more days...

thx!

I am so glad that you are home safely. I think you made the right call to postpone the set-up. You really do want to be there for the install. Help take off the frisk (protective film) and get that first smell of fresh paint. To look through the owner's manual, open up the tool kits, etc. It's like a kid on Christmas morning opening up the packaging of the toy they had been hoping Santa would bring them! Trust me, way better than coming home to them set-up already. :)

Keep us posted!!

Thanks Debby! I couldn't agree with you more. Looking forward to Sunday!

We are set again for the installation on Sunday. I'm in town and weather will be fine. Should be a fun Sunday afternoon.

A little sad to see the Salons go but very excited about the new Alexias and D'Agostino!

Hi Mike - I think mine are fully broken in now and they are so far beyond my expectations, I can't even begin to explain it. Vocals are hauntingly real. Bass is perfect. Highs are detailed, yet smooth. You have great soundstage width and depth.

What I love about Wilson is their attention to the little things. I'm not sure why I've never read much about this. Do people just take the little things for granted? Let me explain:

* the manual is the most comprehensive speaker manual I have ever read - period. Mike, I strongly encourage you to read it, then read it again. I've never felt the need to call Wilson or my dealer for any questions. Why? Everything you can think of is in the manual. It's very comprehensive and the Wilson setup method is very comprehensive. They don't leave their customers wondering and guessing. They have a proven method and it works.
* the packing is A++++. Wooden crates which are well padded inside. The crates are well labeled.
* wheels for the utmost easy small or large movements for proper placements. Brilliant!
* the accessories are plentiful allowing many options for the listener.
* the positive/negative speaker terminals are separated by a divider so connections touching are nonexistent.
* resistors in the back to protect the various modules (tweeter, midrange, etc.) from blowing. Hello? Brilliant!
* endless color options. Very good for WAF.
* grills which look like they belong and aren't an after thought.
* a sizable midrange driver which presents gorgeous tube like vocals regardless of which amp you choose.

I mention these things because I want you to enjoy the whole experience!

Mike

My main advice: unless you get the help of a knowledgeable Wilson professional postpone the assembly of the spikes for some weeks. Get the graduated paper tape on the floor as soon as possible and keep a detailed logbook with your comments. There is nothing more frustrating than going through an wonderful placement and not being able to come back to it again! Also remember that although many positions will give you an acceptable sound, for optimum sound one inch matters.

Yes, only one more day to go! I will take pictures to share. Very much looking forward to a fantastic afternoon!

Great advice guys! I have already read the manual and looked at the accessories. I'm ready for the guys and the install.

Ha! Wouldn't mind getting my wand out for your avatar:P:P:exciting::exciting::bonkers::bonkers::panic::panic::boing::boing::ko::ko:
