The first side of the LP Hebraic Legacies by Aaron Rosand and John Covelli. Basically Kol Nidrei by Bruch and Baal Shem by Bloch played on a violin with piano.

Saw Mary Fahl a few months ago in Beacon NY. And deep, rich voice, great performer, really happy to attend that concert.

Very interesting how her singing voice is so much deeper than her very normal speaking voice.

I have this CD but have not listened to it in a while... Guess I have to pull it out :)....

Listening to this now also... Carly Simon "Into White". I have not listened to this CD since getting back into decent equipment a year ago. This is an excellent recording. Thanks for the suggestion!
 
Melissa Menago-Little Crimes... She just won the Chesky Records shoot out, beating Rebecca Pidgeon in the final round. Amazing album especially for a debut solo album!

"Weightless" seems to be an excellent album... Ok, got to go to Amazon and grab "Hot Loose Wire". :D

Grrrr; "Hot Loose Wire" sold out.... so I order her debut CD... reviews are over the top....
 
I was just reading about the Melissa Menago-Little Crimes album. It was recorded in one sitting in a church in Brooklyn NY. It is recorded in Binaural +and is so accurate you can actually hear the rain coming down outside the church. Pretty amazing stuff.

Another great one is Rebecca Pidgeon Slingshot...

I was able to find the Liz Longley "Hot Loose Wire" album as a flac download from CD Baby. Amazing album! Such wonderful song writing and lyrics, and I love what I call a surprise song to conclude the album...
