About to pull the trigger on Tannoy

Thanks Paul the wifey is having a listen as I write this...., Nice,

But unfortunately our 3 week vacation to Maui next year is taking precedence over a speaker purchase. Happy wife, fun life.
 
UPDATE :

Now the Shindo dealer confirming that he will bring the 2 preamps and Power amp this following Friday ( 25th July )

Thanks guys. I think the Allnic's going to back Mark's place very soon. ( I had them longer than he did LOL ) For me It will be Shindo VS Allnic VS Tenor :D
 
Paul, if you like the Shindo you can go with that until funds for the Tenor are sufficient. There's plenty of guys around here that would buy the Shindo from you if you decide to sell it.

True. I do like to business with Mark though...If I could. :)

Doug, If I really like the Tenor how do you like the idea of buy the Tenor and using with the McIntosh pre for a while Or You think rather go with the whole Shindo gears ?

Paul, you will be the the person to answer this question as you will most likely be the only person on the planet to have heard both combos with a pair of Westy GR's.

Go with what your ears say, you have a pair that seems to work very well.
 
That's a tough one but I think it might be an easier decision once you're heard the Shindo gear.
I know you've heard some Shindo in the past and thought it was too laid back for you. It might be different in your room. If you like the Tenor better and can afford it right now I say go that route with your Mc pre. Usually for me when I hear a piece of gear that really moves me, all I can think about is owning it. No need to substitute anything else because it just won't do.

I totally agree with you about wanting to do business with Mark. He has gone to great lengths to allow you to experience some great gear in your own room. Dealers like this are few and far between these days. If it's too close to call I say go with Mark.

I appreciate that Paul. But, this is not about doing business. This is about you finally purchasing your dream system and you MUST buy what is simply best for A number 1, YOU.

Love your newest model Royals Paul, you have made the right decision with the Tannoy's I went through the same scenario of looking for he most HiFi sounding speaker to find out that I couldn't listen to them for long periods without loosing interest, now with your Tannoy's you will enjoy listening to music as like its alive and breathing!
