The knobs on the MC3500 in the OP pics, dont have the original knobs, this pic is the original Knobs, they matched the front fascia, black with silver fronts..

Auto formers giveth, auto formers taketh away.

The 3500 is an incredible sounding amp. It sounds nothing like any other Mc amp. There is no veil at all. Even the owner says repeatedly, "when I put on the 3500, it's like a veil has been removed."

The 2KW's sound is HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE. There is no substitute for power. None.

The 2301's have an amazing "organic" sound. They give up the MASSIVE/BIGNESS/HUGENESS soundstage to the 2KW's, but they gain major points in the organic part.

If you want Mc and you have a big room, go 2KW's. If you don't, go 2301's. That's my take away.

It was really interesting to here the 2KW's again after owning and listening to my Pass XS amps for almost a year.

Well I'm always a never enough kind of guy .... fantastic setup................................
