300b's?

I love their gears Paul! I always chuckle how the European companies are trying to outdo one another with "who has higher resolution than Soulution"....and then you walk into the Kondo room or the Triode Corp room or the LA Audio room and just melt!

Mike Have you heard the Song Audio ? He's based in Toronto ( Korean guy : I heard he sold his house 7 times to buying audio gears but not satisfied with any and decide to make his own )

Yes, One of my friend bought whole system including the speakers. The sound was so clean , NOT Colored sound at all. However you do need a very high efficient speakers ( more than 100DB at least )

paul i have made an appointment for wednesday . im going to hear these gorgeous amps and an allnic h3000 and h1201 phonostages. the 1201 is being sold as a demo, i think i can get a great deal on it. i will hear the h3000 first then the 1201 second to see the differences in $13k to $3k. if they are not that much(which i hear is the case) i want it!!!!
of course those gorgeous 300b amps are another story. might have to save for awhile for them.

Must be nice to live in an area in the country that actually has dealers that you can visit. Enjoy the day! Don't forget to take pics!

Excellent Steve. I always loved their craft ship and they built them like a tank and I love their unique design not sure about the power cord position ( on the side of unit ) let me know how you like them :exciting:

I thought I saw a faint glow of new tubes coming from somewhere along the Jersey shore this morning. :buzz:Steve, is that you?

hahaha!!!!
well i got a shipment of 300b's from "Mikes Tube Vault" got both a pair of psvane 300b-t2's and a pair of gold lions to test out. first in is the psvanes because these are on my list to purchase soon. biased em up to 83mV and off i went. at first they sounded like the electro harms i just pulled out. but then after about 20min , i realized they are warmed up and everything was what i call rounder and fuller. the bass deeper and more room filling yet not less tight. the highs are smoother and fuller. you see a pattern? fuller is the key word because across the board these amps now have filled in the soundstage real nice, im guessing these arent broke in yet either. cause you can almost feel that they need some maybe burn in time or time get acclimated to the system. all around great tube so far. im only about 6 or 8 album sides in and im loving them already. big test now as im starting to get into my test records..... trinity sessions, blue, ec unplugged, america, nelly mc kay!!! all coming up.lol. ill put that in what vinyl do you have on thread.
Mike thank you so much for the opportunity to hear these tubes. ill put up another mini review when i get to the gold lions.
300b's for life!!!!

That's sweet Steve! Good tubes can have that exact affect on a system. It's seems as though they are less harsh and bring a nice smooth sound out. I'm glad they're working out for you. Some wise man told me once that "these things are like butter." I think that pretty much sums it up.

You're very welcome Steve. Those tubes I sent you are brand new. Zero hours - so keep playing those babies! Let's assess things in a few weeks once they get 100 hours on them or so. And don't sweat it - you're doing me a favor too! :)
