The reason they did the 40.2 was because the original .1 was designed for studio use where lower frequencies are often more challenging, and so the bottom end was augmented. This made for a well balanced sound in the studio, but a bass-heavy sound in many homes. The .2 iteration addressed this, creating for the first time a domestic implementation of this particular model.
The 30 series is certainly not suffering a similar trait, and hence I can't see any immediate need for a revamp.
I agree with Art, would love to see the C7 addressed in the top end (a little recessed for my liking).
